• ​The Violent Abduction: The nightmare began when heavily armed bandits invaded their community in Kachia, shooting sporadically to terrorize residents. Mrs. Ezekiel and her daughter were forcefully seized from their home and marched overnight deep into the dense forests of Kaduna State.
• ​52 Days of Torture and Starvation: For nearly two months, mother and child were subjected to severe psychological and physical trauma. They were forced to sleep on the bare ground under harsh weather conditions, exposed to rain and extreme cold, and given barely enough food and contaminated water to survive.
• ​Demands for Ransom: While in captivity, the bandits used aggressive negotiation tactics, constantly threatening the lives of the hostages to instill panic. They contacted family members, demanding exorbitant sums of money that the family struggled to raise, plunging them into absolute despair.
• ​The Journey to Freedom: After 52 grueling days of torment, Mrs. Ezekiel and her daughter finally regained their freedom.
