BREAKING NEWS: Politics Aside! Governor Ademola Adeleke Visits APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru Over Mother's Death.
In a beautiful display of political maturity and sportsmanship that transcends party lines, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, paid a personal condolence visit to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, on Tuesday evening.
[The Condolence Visit]
The high-profile visit follows the passing of Senator Basiru's beloved mother, Alhaja Sidikat Abake Basiru, who passed away at the age of 92.
Governor Adeleke, a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), temporarily pushed aside the state's fierce inter-party rivalry to commiserate with the top APC chieftain at his residence.
During the emotional meeting, Governor Adeleke described the loss of a mother as a deeply painful experience that leaves an enduring vacuum. He urged the National Secretary and the entire Basiru clan to draw strength and solace from the highly exemplary, virtuous, and dedicated life Mama lived as a devout Muslim matriarch.
[Prayers Offered]
Offering heartfelt prayers for the family, Governor Adeleke petitioned Almighty Allah (SWT) to overlook the shortcomings of the deceased, accept her good deeds, and grant her soul peaceful repose in Al-Jannatul Firdaus (the highest paradise). He also prayed that God grants Senator Basiru and his siblings the divine strength, patience, and fortitude to navigate this irreparable loss.
[A State in Mourning]
Alhaja Sidikat Basiru's remains were officially laid to rest on Monday afternoon in Osogbo following an Islamic Janazah funeral prayer at the Ansar-ud-Deen Mosque. Her final burial drew an array of massive political figures across the nation, including the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, and several state executives.
