Kidnappers holding Kebbi High Court Judge Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza have demanded N200 million ransom from family.

Kebbi Police Commissioner Umar Muhammad Hadejia disclosed Monday in Birnin Kebbi that police got intelligence on demand after swift response to Sunday early hours abduction at residence along Zogirma Road in Bunza.

According to CP, Command deployed combined operatives to comb escape routes and mounted multiple checkpoints along strategic routes.

He said judge's family informed police that he frequently travelled at night despite warnings and that kidnappers contacted registrar of High Court in Abuja regarding negotiations over N200m.
