BREAKING: I Didn't Meet South Africa

President Bola Tinubu has reportedly declined to receive a special envoy sent by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa amid renewed xenophobic attacks against Nigerians.

Diplomatic sources said Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Minister, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, advised against the meeting, insisting South Africa should first ratify the Early Warning Mechanism signed by both countries in 2025 to strengthen cooperation against xenophobic violence. More

The development comes after the reported killing of a Nigerian, Chika Ibe, in South Africa and follows Nigeria's renewed push for stronger continental action against xenophobia.
